ZiRO FAQs
How hard is Zirconium?
Zirconium is harder than platinum.
How thick is the black?
Our Black Zirconium rings are not plated or coated with any other substance. They are created through a heat-treating process that causes the ring’s entire surface to oxidise and, therefore, turn black. This allows us to create stunning two-tone designs by cutting into the metal to reveal the silver tone of the natural zirconium beneath the surface.
Will Zirconium scratch?
Zirconium rings are as tough as they come. We should know, because when we were developing the ZiRO range, we tested for wear and tear and experimented with a bunch of different ways of inflicting damage.
The fact is though, as with most metals, Zirconium isn’t totally scratch resistant. So we recommend you take reasonable, everyday care with your ZiRO ring and don’t subject it to unnecessary or avoidable risk.
It’s probably best not to wear it when you’re bench-pressing your own body weight at the gym. Or, when you’re behind the wheel of your trusty power tools. And, we definitely don’t suggest that you drive over it in a monster truck. Just look after it and you’ll find it’ll look after itself.
Can Zirconium rings be made with a Comfort Curveā¢?
